National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs elects new president

The National Association of State Directors of Veterans Affairs (NASDVA) has elected a new president for 2009/2010. Terry Schow, the Executive Director of the Utah Department of Veterans Affairs, will serve as the new leader of the organization.

Mr. Schow is a U.S. Army veteran who served with the 5th and 10th Special Forces Groups and the 25th Infantry Division. He is a former commander of the Utah American Legion state chapter and the Utah Disabled American Veterans.

NASDVA is comprised of the top VA officials from every state. States are the second-largest provider of veterans’ benefits and services.
